چکیده
The suspension of Brownian rods in flow has a major effect many engineering applications. We numerically examine rod suspensions through rectangular channel with and without the circular obstacles, taking into consideration isotropic translational diffusion tensor using finite element method. develop kinetic macro-model that reduces computational effort it gives good approximation errors less than 5%.

Brownian diffusion of particles with hydrodynamic interaction
The classical theory of Brownian motion applies to suspensions which are so dilute that each particle is effectively alone in infinite fluid. We consider here the modifications to the theory that are needed when rigid spherical particles are close enough to interact hydrodynamically. It is first shown that Brownian motion is a diffusion process of the conventional kind provided that the particl...

متن کاملDiffusion of interacting Brownian particles: Jamming and anomalous diffusion.
The free self-diffusion of an assembly of interacting particles confined on a quasi-one-dimensional ring is investigated both numerically and analytically. The interparticle pairwise interaction can be either attractive or repulsive and the energy barrier opposing thermal hopping of two particles one past the other is finite. Thus, for sufficiently long times, self-diffusion becomes normal or c...

We probe the roto-translational Brownian motion of optically anisotropic particles suspended in water with a simple and straightforward optical microscopy experiment that does not require positional or rotational particle tracking. We acquire a movie of the suspension placed between two polarizing elements and we extract the translational diffusion coefficient D T and the rotational diffusion c...

The prediction of ionic currents in protein channels of biological membranes is one of the central problems of computational molecular biophysics. Existing continuum descriptions of ionic permeation fail to capture the rich phenomenology of the permeation process, so it is therefore necessary to resort to particle simulations. Brownian dynamics (BD) simulations require the connection of a small...
